Identification of Fagaceae and Lauraceae Using Machine Learning

Abstract:

In this study, Fagaceae and Lauraceae leaves were selected and their characteristics, i.e. shape, color, texture, leaf vein patterns, etc. were quantified using image processing methods. Subsequently, the extracted data were used by machine learning and deep learning models to identify the leaves' species.
